Trump Official Says ICE Will Be at Super Bowl Looking for Immigrants: ‘We Will Find You’

A Department of Homeland Security official said Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be at Super Bowl LX in February to look for undocumented immigrants.

Corey Lewandowski appeared on Wednesday’s edition of The Benny Show, where host Benny Johnson asked whether ICE will be present at the game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Specifically, Johnson asked whether the NFL’s selection of Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny as the halftime performer would prompt ICE to “have enforcement” at the Super Bowl. The league’s entertainment choice rankled supporters of President Donald Trump over the performer’s criticisms of Trump’s immigration policy. Bad Bunny, who raps in Spanish, is not touring in the U.S. because he fears ICE will target attendees.

“Will ICE have enforcement at the Super Bowl for the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show?” Johnson asked Lewandowski.

“Benny, there is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally, not the Super Bowl and nowhere else,” Lewandowski responded. “We will find you. We’ll apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility. And we will deport you. So, know that that is a very real situation under this administration, which is completely contrary to how it used to be.”

Lewandowski went on to say that “the NFL has been so woke for so many years.”

“I used to love watching NFL games,” he continued. “And when sports got into wokeness, I stopped doing it. Now, I still participate in the fantasy football league with some of the guys that I’ve known for 25 years and, you know, want my players to win. But it’s so shameful that they’ve decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime [show].”
