The 2025 NFL regular season is officially in full swing and the Chicago Bears have a .500 record heading into the bye week. For a team that started off 0-2, Ben Johnson and the Bears have rebounded nicely, generating some momentum on offense.

While the Bears have won two straight games, not everything has been perfect. With the bye week officially here, Johnson and the rest of the coaching staff will have a number of decisions to make, including who the starter at left tackle and running back should be.

After being seen on the sideline with his helmet off and no injury designation against the Las Vegas Raiders, there is some speculation that the team benched veteran left tackle **Braxton Jones**in favor of undrafted free agent Theo Benedet.

On the latest edition of Halas Beat, hosts Usayd Koshul and Steve Letizia discuss what are some of the major decisions the Bears have to make heading into the second half of the season. Usayd and Steve also discuss why the Bears need to get more out of some veterans on offense such as DJMooreand Cole Kmet.
