Prime Video’s 11-year, $11 billion investment in “NFL Thursday Night Football” appears to be paying off.

The Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks game on Sept. 25 was the seventh-highest rated TV program across U.S. households for the week ended Sept. 28, according to new data from Nielsen. The game, which Seattle won 23-20, generated 13.24 million viewers across almost 8 million Prime Video homes.

No other streaming program cracked the Top 249 tracked television programs, according to Nielsen.

While the game, pre-game, post-game and night cap analysis made Prime Video the No. 7, No. 31, No. 36 and No. 125 most-watched programs out of 249 programs ranked weekly by Nielsen — football in general dominated TV viewing.

NFL and college games accounted for 18 of the Top 20 most-watched TV shows through last weekend, generating more than 214 million combined viewers.

The “NFL Sunday Night Football” game on NBC and live-streamed on Peacock between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers, which ended in a 40-40 tie after three overtime periods, was the most-watched TV show last week with 23.9 million viewers across 15.3 million households.
