Farhad Moshiri’s tenure in charge of Everton saw several managers come and go.
The former Everton owner had a scattergun approach to appointing and firing managers, so there were eight permanent bosses during his eight-year reign.
Some of Moshiri’s sacked managers have gone on to be successes elsewhere, Marco Silva a prime example of that.
Silva has established himself as one of the best managers in the Premier League at Fulham and was linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job earlier this year.
Another former Toffees boss has reinvented himself at a different club, and his side are still undefeated this season.

Former Everton manager Frank Lampard reborn at Coventry City
Moshiri sacked Frank Lampard in January 2023 as his Everton side were on a run of nine defeats in 12 games, leaving them in the relegation zone.
Lampard then had an underwhelming spell as Chelsea’s caretaker manager later that year, so when Coventry City appointed him in November 2024, there were question marks surrounding him.
However, the former Everton boss has really enhanced his reputation at the Sky Blues as he guided them to a play-off finish last term.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
This season, Coventry are now second in the league and are one of only two teams (Middlesbrough) yet to taste defeat.
Lampard’s side thumped Millwall 4-0 last night and are by far the division’s top scorers, with 22 goals already.
Frank Lampard could be back in Premier League next season
Coventry have a real chance of gaining automatic promotion this season, so Everton could well meet Lampard in the Premier League next season.
The 47-year-old has been able to build a free-flowing attacking team that’s also pretty watertight at the back, too.
Since being appointed Coventry City head coach on November 28 last year, Frank Lampard has won 65 points from 36 matches in charge. 🔥
During that period, no ever-present Championship club has won more points in the division. 👏

As well as being the top scorers, Coventry have the joint fourth best defensive record in the Championship, shipping a respectable seven goals in eight games.
With the relegated Premier League teams, Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton all faltering, there’s a real chance for Lampard to create history and get the Sky Blues back in the top-flight for the first time since 2001.
