Opinion: Everton player may be feeling the heat as he's spotted removing posts from social media

One Everton player may be feeling the pressure as he has just removed everything related to the Toffees from his Instagram account.

David Moyes’ side go into the weekend in need of three points following a run of four games without a win.

Crystal Palace are visiting the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday on the back of their midweek trip to Poland in the Europa Conference League.

After only securing a draw earlier on in the week, Duncan Ferguson admitted Everton need a reliable striker.

Goals have been a major issue for the Blues in recent seasons, and the two strikers have failed to hit the ground running in 2025/26.

Everton signed Thierno Barry over the summer, but the youngster has not been able to make much of an impression under Moyes.

With just seven goals in their opening six league games, it seems as if the pressure may be getting to one of Everton’s forwards.

Thierno Barry removes Everton posts from Instagram

Michael Keane has backed Barry to be a success at Everton, with the defender claiming the striker just needs to get up and running.

His minutes have been limited in these opening weeks of the season, which has seen Beto given the nod more frequently.

Some eagle-eyed Everton fans may have noticed on Thursday morning that the few posts Barry has uploaded since his move to Everton had since been taken down.

This has been seen regularly by players across the game if they have received criticism from fans online.

Although that may not have been the case with Barry, it may well be a sign that the 22-year-old is feeling the heat of not finding the back of the net.

Barry had posted on his Instagram recently with a post following the Merseyside Derby at Anfield. This has been removed since.

Iliman Ndiaye still thinks Barry will come good at Everton but it is clear that he needs something to go in his favour on the pitch to kickstart his career on Merseyside.

Everton should start Barry against Crystal Palace

Moyes has not been impressed with Beto since the end of last season, where the 27-year-old did show some improved form.

Beto has now had more than enough opportunities to find his shooting boots this season, and he has only been able to return one goal.

It simply has not been good enough, which may well lead Moyes to handing Barry another shot from the start.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be suspended for the game against the Eagles, which will enforce another change behind the striker.

This could well cause another issue for Barry, given Beto and Carlos Alcaraz have formed a good relationship in the past.

Equally, if Moyes was to select Tyler Dibling, it would be a big ask potentially for him to start two inexperienced youngsters in the front line.
