Man City star Bernardo Silva and Man United captain Bruno Fernandes are both reportedly of interest to Saudi Pro League clubs.
The Cityzens just came off a disappointing Champions League draw against Monaco as they drew 2-2 away from home, and will now return to the Premier League where they face a game against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Speaking of Monaco, City signed midfielder Bernardo Silva from the French side back in 2017, and since then, the 31-year-old has managed to score 72 goals in 415 games under Pep Guardiola. He has also won six Premier League titles and a Champions League.

However, Silva’s contract is due to expire in June, and there has been no indication that City plan to extend the midfielder’s contract at the Etihad. There has been previous interest from the Saudi Pro League in him, and it appears that there is new interest in him from the same league.
Bernardo Silva could be Saudi’s Ronaldo replacement
According to a report by talkSPORT, the Saudi Pro League are eyeing up Silva as a long-term league replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract at Al Nassr is due to expire in 2027. It is understood that Ronaldo won’t extend beyond that, so the Saudi league are keen to bring in a new poster boy.
Silva is reportedly that man, as it is understood that Al Ahli, and Al Qiadsiah are keen on the Man City star for when his contract at the Etihad expires. Al Nassr are also keen, but it is reported that Ronaldo’s Saudi club have more of an eye on Man United captain Bruno Fernandes.
Al Nassr made a move for Fernandes in the summer transfer window, but Man United decided to keep the Portuguese midfielder. However, a transfer in the next summer as his contract is due to expire in June 2027.
Silva speaks out on Man City future
The Man City midfielder is clearly very aware of his transfer interest, as he recently spoke out about his future plans following his contract expiry at the Etihad.
Silva told BBC Sport: “I know exactly what I’m going to do but it’s not the time to focus on it. It’s to do my best, to put the club back to where it belongs. We’ve had a lot of captains who’ve left but it’s for the guys who have the most experience to pass it on to the young guys.”
Man City boss Guardiola also spoke up his captain this week, and emphasised just how valuable he is to the team. He said: “He is one of the best in training. He is an extraordinary player – so intelligent and smart. He can play in so many positions. We’re really happy to have him.”
