Proposed Seahawks-Ravens trade could give Seattle NFC's best tight end room

The Seattle Seahawks are off to a 3-1 start and the NFC West is very much in play for them this season. Yes, the 49ers and Rams are also 3-1 and the Cardinals don't appear to be slouches either but the Seahawks have looked impressive early on this season.

With the Seahawks looking like a playoff contender through the first month of the regular season, naturally, trade talks will be heating up for them. Matt Verderame and Gilberto Manzano of _Sports Illustrated_ put together a list of a [trade that every team in the league could make before the deadline](https://www.si.com/nfl/one-trade-every-nfl-team-should-make-before-the-2025-deadline). It was floated that the Ravens should send veteran tight end Mark Andrews to the Seahawks in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

If this is a possibility that can be seriously explored, the Seahawks need to pounce on it. Adding Andrews to their arsenal of weapons would give them a tight end room of him, second-year player A.J. Barner and second-round rookie Elijah Arroyo. Barner has two touchdowns through the first four games but just imagine how much these guys' games could be elevated with the addition of Andrews.

Seahawks trading for Mark Andrews would be a dream come true

With the Ravens sitting at 1-3 and fighting hard to stay healthy, it wouldn't be a shock if Andrews was someone they truly floated as a trade candidate. He's 30 years old and will hit free agency after this season. Why shouldn't the Ravens try to get something for him while they still can?

Andrews is just two weeks removed from grabbing six catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions so it's obvious the guy can still play at a high level. He's only a year removed from finding the end zone 11 times as well. He can still be a very useful weapon on offense and Sam Darnold would love having him as a target in the red zone.

If all the Seahawks would have to part with to land a talent like Andrews is a sixth-round pick, yeah that feels like a no-brainer. Barner and Arroyo are still two young tight ends who are learning in this league and Andrews could come in and be a top target for Darnold while also helping mentor two guys Seattle hopes will be great players for them in the years to come.

This would be a great trade for the Seahawks to make so let's hope the Ravens would actually consider trading Andrews and adding to their offensive firepower.
