Bijan Robinson has firmly inserted himself into the conversation as the best non-quarterback player in football, which is typically who takes home Offensive Player of the Year honors at the end of the season.

Through four weeks, Robinson has been unstoppable. He ranks fifth in the league in rushing and 15th in receiving, with 270 yards through the air — the most of any running back. Combine his production, and he leads the entire NFL in yards from scrimmage. He’s the complete package: a dynamic runner, an elite receiver, and even a standout in pass protection. Many viewed Robinson’s 2024 campaign as a breakout season, but this year’s numbers are trending towards 2024 looking more like a down year for the star running back.

On the other side of the ball, Xavier Watts’ NFC Defensive Player of the Month honors tell the story of just how impactful the Falcons’ 2025 draft class has been. First-round picks Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. have each made their mark early, but it’s the third-rounder out of Notre Dame who’s really stolen the spotlight.

Watts had a nose for the football in college, and that instinct has translated seamlessly to the NFL. He already has two interceptions — tied for third in the league — and has come close to adding a couple more. With his emergence in the secondary, Atlanta finally looks to have a complementary defense, and that’s a huge reason why this unit has taken such a leap.
