Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will also attend the 2026 Super Bowl, according to Corey Lewandowski, an adviser at the Department of Homeland Security. For the unversed, it is a direct threat to the musician, who is known as an anti-ICE activist.

Bad Bunny will headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, the NFL announced during Sunday’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. The performance is set for next year’s February at Levi’s Stadium in California. It should’ve been a massive win for Latin representation.
Butit has created a controversy that has nothing to do with football. Lewandowski appeared on Wednesday’s edition of The Benny Show, where Benny Johnson asked whether ICE will be present at the game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
“There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else,” replied Lewandowski.

Then Lewandowski throws the line that’s been highlighted everywhere, hitting at undocumented immigrants. “We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you. Know that is a very real situation under this administration, which is contrary to how it used to be.”
The 31-year-old rapper said in the past he would not tour in the U.S. because ICE could raid his concerts. He’s been vocal about immigration enforcement targeting Latino communities. He even used his platform to criticize Trump administration policies.
Now he’s performing at the Super Bowl. And ICE will be there. The collision was inevitable. Lewandowski made sure everyone knew it was coming.
Lewandowski Calls Bad Bunny Shameful
Lewandowski didn’t stop at the ICE warning. He went after the NFL’s choice directly. He made it crystal clear that Bad Bunny’s political views are the reason behind the whole mess.

“It’s so shameful that they’ve decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime game,” Lewandowski said on The Benny Show.
The irony wasn’t lost on anyone. He criticized Bad Bunny for being divisive while announcing ICE would be hunting for undocumented immigrants in the stands. Somehow, Lewandowski got critical regarding the Bad Bunny situation, saying, “If you’re in this country illegally, do yourself a favor: go home.”
Trump’s advisor made it clear this wasn’t hypothetical. ICE will be there. We just have to cross our fingers that Super Bowl 60 doesn’t turn into a political battleground.
