When the 911 dispatcher pressed for more details, the caller replied, “I heard somebody screaming, saying, ‘Help! Help! Don’t do this. Don’t do this. Somebody help me. Somebody help me.’ It was a woman.”
A second caller also reported nearly identical details. “I just heard people screaming and a huge … bang,” the caller said. “I heard people screaming for help in the pool … I heard a lot of screaming … And then a huge boom.”
According to reports, at least five people called 911 that night. All described the same terrifying scene. However, police closed Rudi’s case as a suicide, with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office later confirming no suspicion of foul play.
Larry Johnson Connects Rudi Johnson’s Suicide to NFL Curse
Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson didn’t buy the experts’ CTE explanation. He went rogue with a wild conspiracy theory days after Rudi’s death.
Larry claimed he’d been with Rudi just two weeks earlier. Everything seemed fine. “They were even going as far as planning his birthday next week because it’s October 1st,” headded.

Then he dropped a massive bombshell. “What makes it even more strange was in the last six years there have been three running backs, all wearing the number 32, that have died three years apart from each other,” Larry claimed.
Larry named the backs: Cedric Benson, Franco Harris, and Rudi Johnson. All wore No. 32 and all died three years apart. The pattern was eerie. But most experts pointed to the grim reality of CTE.
