NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Titans saw the most consistent game of the season from its offensive line Sunday against the Texans.
The issue is, Tennessee lost the game 26-0 to its divisional rival Houston.
However, the offensive line made visible and tangible progress, only allowing two sacks in the game.
Previously, the Titans had given up six sacks against the Broncos in Week 1, five against the Rams, and four against the Colts.
In total, Tennessee has allowed 17 sacks this season, which is the second-highest mark in the NFL behind the Vikings’ 18.
“Every week, I mean, it’s a good defensive line we’re facing,” Titans center Lloyd Cushenberry III said. “That was one of the best in the league we faced last week, another good one this week, so we got to just keep progressing, keep giving Cam (Ward) more time, and try to do our job better in the run game.”

The Titans’ progress with the offensive line didn’t directly yield a win, but will be a key component to their quest for their first win of the season.
“Obviously, the result (against Houston), we all know what happened,” Titans left guard Peter Skoronski said. “In terms of our play, it wasn’t perfect, we weren’t really able to get into our run game in the second half. I am proud of the group. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of technique improvements. I feel like the group as a whole really battled.”
The Titans will travel to Arizona to face the Cardinals for a 3:05 p.m. kickoff this Sunday.
