Joe was excited 12 years ago when quarterback Mike Glennon was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month.
In a season with few smiles, it was something to help keep Joe from feeling like a loser wearing a Bucs t-shirt in Winn-Dixie.
The latest NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month, Bucs receiver Emeka Egbuka, is a different animal than Glennon. He’s the real deal. So it’s no surprise Egbuka was graced with the esteemed September honor this week.
Egbuka’s four games in September returned 18 catches for 282 yards and 4 touchdown. It’s a wild pace that would rock the NFL if he can keep it going all season.
One who dabbles in what-ifs might say the Bucs would be winless now without their prized rookie.
