'We've spoken to them': Moyes reveals what PGMOL have told Everton about Dewsbury-Hall's…

David Moyes says Everton have now spoken to the PGMOL about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s latest yellow card.

Everton welcome Crystal Palace to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday for the final Premier League game before the international break.

Dewsbury-Hall will be suspended for Everton following an accumulation of five yellow cards in his opening six league appearances.

Those five yellow cards have actually been handed out in the midfielder’s last five games.

Sam Barrott was criticised for Dewsbury-Hall’s yellow card on Monday evening against West Ham United, which will see him sidelined for Sunday.

On the back of the controversy, Moyes has now admitted that the club have received a message from the PGMOL.

Everton receive Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall message from PGMOL

Darren Bent has urged for a Premier League rule change to increase the number of yellow cards needed before a suspension.

This comes after two soft yellow cards handed out to the Everton midfielder in his last two games.

Speaking to the media from Finch Farm on Friday, Moyes has provided insight into what has been said between the club and the PGMOL.

“Yeah, we’ve spoken to them and I think they’re accepting both of the yellow cards [vs Liverpool and West Ham] were wrong,” said Moyes.

“It’s amazing, if you look at his history, he only had something like six yellow cards all of last season. He’s never had these numbers at all. The last two decisions are terrible!”

“Look, the discussions we have with them we want to keep them private. You asked me the question, ‘have we spoken to them?’ And yeah, we have spoken to them and they believe the two yellow cards were wrong decisions.”

Moyes now faced a selection headache as to who’ll replace Dewsbury-Hall in the Everton starting XI.

Dewsbury-Hall had been praised for his start at Everton, but he is going to have to watch Sunday’s game from the stands or from his sofa after two wrong decisions from the referees.

Everton opportunity on offer in Dewsbury-Hall absence

Carlos Alcaraz could be handed a rare Everton start in Dewsbury-Hall’s absence on Sunday.

The Argentine will not be the only one fighting for a spot in the starting XI this weekend in order to earn Moyes’ trust.

Everton fans want to see Tyler Dibling start, with Iliman Ndiaye taking up the number 10 role against the Eagles.

However, Moyes could well look to trust his more experienced option in Alcaraz, who has already shown he is capable of dismantling Palace.
