Paul Merson has predicted a tight game between Everton and Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Crystal Palace return to Premier League duties this weekend with a trip to Everton, as Oliver Glasner’s side look to extend their club record 19-game unbeaten run.
On Thursday evening, Crystal Palace beat Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 in the Conference League owing to goals from Daniel Munoz and Eddie Nketiah.
And it comes after a dramatic late win against Liverpool which lifted Palace in 3rd place of the Premier League table. David Moyes’ Everton meanwhile sit in 9th place.

Paul Merson gives Everton vs Crystal Palace score prediction
Speaking to Sportskeeda ahead of the weekend, pundit Paul Merson spoke positively about Crystal Palace as he gave his score prediction for their game against Everton on Sunday. But he couldn’t pick a winner between the two, instead predicting a 1-1 draw.
Merson said: “I have run out of things to say about Crystal Palace. Simply phenomenal, 19 games unbeaten now and they are showing no signs of slowing down. Palace played away from home to Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa Conference League on Thursday and still won that game quite comfortably.
“I can’t think of any game in Palace’s unbeaten run where they were lucky! This is a team in which every player knows what he must do on the pitch. From defenders to wing-backs to midfielders and the attackers, everyone does their job perfectly.”
Merson went on to add: “It will be interesting to see how Palace cope with playing in the league after their first away trip in Europe during midweek. It’s a tough game coming up as well, Everton are unbeaten at home so far this season.”

Crystal Palace’s record against Everton is woeful
Although Palace go into this game in red hot form, their record against Everton is certainly poor, with Crystal Palace having not won away against Everton since 2014.
In fact, Palace have won just two of their 24 games against the Toffees since their last win away at Goodison Park, and have lost 12 of those 24 too.

And like Merson suggests, there might be a bit of fatigue among the Palace players given their midweek game away in Poland, with Glasner already revealing that Will Hughes is an injury doubt for the Everton game.
There could be others in the side who are feeling the effects of a midweek game. But Crystal Palace have good depth and so there’s every hope they’ll continue their unbeaten run on Sunday.
