“I Can See Only 1 Rams Fan”: NFL Fans Get Real About SoFi Stadium Filled With Red-Clad…

SoFi Stadium turned into Levi’s Stadium South on Thursday night. The $5.5 billion palace in Inglewood was supposed to be a fortress for the Rams. Instead, it looked like a 49ers home game because red jerseys flooded every section. Meanwhile, blue and gold? Nowhere to be found.

The 49ers supporters completely killed any home-field advantage the Rams hoped to have. Since SoFi opened in 2020, the stands have been predominantly red whenever San Francisco travels south. But Week 5 might’ve set a new record for Rams embarrassment.

NFL Fans React as Rams Fans Ghosted Their Own Team in Week 5

The Rams hosted the 49ers for Thursday Night Football but lost the game 23-26, and now we know the reason why.

Before kickoff, Vivid Seats projected at least 62 percent of the crowd would be rooting for San Francisco, though it was their road game. However, the actual scene looked worse. A sea of red swallowed the entire stadium, and blue and gold fans were ghosts in their own house.

Social media exploded with hot takes, with some joking that Rams supporters were saving their tickets for the playoffs.

One fanwrote, “Shame on the home crowd. By the way, I can see only 1 Rams fan.”

Another didn’t sugarcoat it. Henoted, “That was a Rams home game? No. That was Levi’s South!”

A third user went deeper, noting, “People refuse to see why this city has lost the NFL off and on over the last what? 30 years, give or take? This is probably the best football they’ve seen or ever will see, and this is what you get. L.A. is NOT an NFL city. Square peg they keep forcing into a round hole.”

The fourth pointed out the financial angle, penning, “They never show up vs. the 49ers. They know we will pay money for those tickets. Imagine the league without the 49ers. Wouldn’t be the NFL. The 49ers make the league and teams so much money. Geez. Like imagine an away team paying most of your bills at a game they are not the home team at.”

The fifth got petty, claiming, “Rams fans treat football games like influencer pop-ups… only show up if there’s free merch and a photo op 💅.”

A sixth kept it simple.remarking, “The city of LA does not care about football at the pro or college level.”

However, not everyone joined the chorus of roasts. One Rams defender explained their funny strategy, writing, “Lmao see us Rams fans smart. We know we going to the playoffs so we save for those games and show up for those…”

The takeover wasn’t surprising to anyone who follows the rivalry. In the last five years, the Rams posted an8-3 record against the 49ers. And the home-field advantage didn’t work that way for the Rams against the Red. What they got is more like a home-field disadvantage.
