Wan'Dale Robinson will lead the Giants in targets the rest of the way without Malik Nabers.
Dan Salomone: Fact – It might swing week to week depending on how games unfold, but in the long run, it will still be Robinson. We've talked about Darius Slayton climbing the record books, but Robinson could do some damage too. If he has 75 more catches this season (which would match his total of 93 from a year ago), he would get to No. 16 on the franchise's career reception list. Slayton is currently No. 15. Even with Nabers on the field last year, Robinson still had the fifth-most receptions in a single season in team history.
Matt Citak: Fact – While Nabers led the team with 170 targets last year, Robinson ranked second with 140. The next highest player? Darius Slayton with 71. Through the first four games this season, the target leaders are Nabers at 35, Robinson at 27, and Cam Skattebo and Theo Johnson tied at 15. Other pass-catchers will have to step up in Nabers' absence, but I fully expect Robinson to lead the group in targets from here on out. As he showed in Dallas in Week 2, Robinson is more than capable of lining up on the outside in addition to his work in the slot, something the Giants will need with Nabers out.
Jaxson Dart will have double-digit rushing attempts again on Sunday.
Dan Salomone: Fact – Ten is a lot, but I don't see Dart or Daboll looking to take away any of his aggressiveness or ability to make loose plays. On top of that, the Giants have a big void to fill with Nabers out. They need to make up the yardage via the air or ground.
Matt Citak: Fiction – Dart showed last week that if needed, he can take a large workload in the run game. But I think part of his 10 carries last week was due to the Chargers' talented secondary. On paper, the Giants should be able to move the ball a little easier this weekend, which should mean fewer carries from the rookie quarterback. Additionally, with a quick turnaround next week for the Thursday game against the Eagles, the fewer hits Dart can take on Sunday, the better.
