Eagles' final Week 5 injury report provides encouraging Dallas Goedert news

Well, the final injury report is out for the Philadelphia Eagles, and it's mostly good news.

Friday's practice was a walkthrough as the team prepares for next week's Thursday night game against the New York Giants, following the Denver Broncos' showdown on Sunday. This meant that everyone was a full participant in the process. Linebacker Jihaad Campbell was not there due to a personal reason, but did not have an injury designation, so he should still play on Sunday.

Tight end Dallas Goedert will be good to play on Sunday with his knee injury. The same can be said about Jalen Carter (shoulder), Adoree' Jackson (groin), Lane Johnson (shoulder), and Grant Calcaterra (illness).

The only player on the injury report that is listed as out is linebacker Nakobe Dean, who is out with his knee injury. Dean was never expected to play, though, as his 21-day window was just opened this week, having spent the first four weeks on injured reserve.

Eagles are getting healthy at the right time

Not having Dean is tough, but the team has done well without him up to this point. Campbell and Zack Baun have been great as the starters at inside linebacker. They have made it easier for Dean to take the time to heal.

Goedert's update is big as the Eagles' passing offense is better with him in it. When A.J. Brown is covered up, Jalen Hurts likes to look Goedert's way to make a play.

Eagles fans will have to watch out to see how Johnson and Carter do, as they have been banged up over the last few weeks. Johnson has not finished the last two games with injuries, and Carter has been in and out of games the last few weeks with a shoulder injury.

Jackson's playing time will be fasinating after his replacement, Kelee Ringo got glowing reviews from Vic Fangio and Nick Sirianni. There's a chance Ringo keeps his CB2 position in place of Jackson.
