Avalanche rep Kroenke’s Rams at SoFi Stadium

One of the best part of the four major Denver sports franchises is how they all support each other year-round. Rockies players go to Broncos games, Broncos players go to Nuggets games, Nuggets players go to Avalanche games, and Avalanche players go to… Los Angeles Rams games?

That doesn’t quite fit the bill.

The Avs were down in Los Angeles on Thursday night to support the Los Angeles Rams in their 26-23 overtime loss against the San Francisco 49ers. Every single player was repping the blue and yellow in a jersey that had their respective hockey number on the back and was taking in the sights and sounds of SoFi Stadium.

Even though the two teams play 1,000 miles away from each other, they are tied to each other via Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, as Stan Kroenke owns both franchises, along with a handful of other teams such as the Denver Nuggets.

The Amazon Prime broadcast made sure to give some love to the burgundy and blue, who found their way to a nice-looking suite by the time the game kicked off.

After the initial post that raised the eyebrows of certain Denver Sports fans who weren’t aware of the tie, the Avs’ social media team made sure to clarify that they were supporting their KSE family. They pinned that post to the profile, doubling down on the fact that they didn’t necessarily see an issue with it.

Still a painful sight for all of the Avs fans who are also Broncos fans to see. For fans who cheer on all four Denver teams, it comes not too long after Nuggets head coach David Adelman made his way to Buffalo to cheer on the Bills. Is this going to be a theme for these teams throughout this season?

Even though the Avalanche start their regular season in Los Angeles against the Kings on Tuesday night, they still have one more preseason game to play in Dallas against the Stars on Saturday night. They currently hold a 4-1 record and their eight points are tied for the fourth-highest mark in the NHL this preseason. Puck drop for Tuesday’s opener in LA is set for 8:30 p.m. MDT and will be televised on ESPN.
