Man Utd ‘seriously evaluating’ Real Madrid target who has ‘accessible’ release clause, Los Blancos hit with ‘problem’

Manchester United have received a major boost in the pursuit of a Real Madrid-linked player after Los Blancos were hit with one roadblock, according to reports in Spain.

The Red Devils wrapped up their summer transfer spending spree on deadline day in September after the signing of Belgian talent Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.

Along with their acquisition of a shot-stopper in the form of Senne Lammens, the Premier League club brought in long-term Paraguayan prospect Diego Leon in July.

Ineos and Red Devils co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe spared no expense with the transfer fees dropped in the summer for three new attacking options for Ruben Amorim.

Manchester United made big-money moves for former Wolves ace Matheus Cunha and ex-Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo in June and July respectively.

The Red Devils also hijacked Newcastle’s bid to sign ex-Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko in August, with United landing him for an initial fee of £66.3m from RB Leipzig.

Real Madrid’s transfer position on Juventus defender Gleison Bremer amid Man Utd’s interest

Real Madrid are believed to be interested in reinforcing their defensive options and Manchester United-linked Gleison Bremer has been identified as one target.

Defensa Central reports that Madrid chief scout Juni Calafat has Gleison Bremer on his ‘list’ and the Juventus defender is the option that he has ‘most liked.’

Bremer has attracted interest from United and the 28-year-old Brazilian defender has started to impress at Juventus since his 2022 arrival from Serie A side Torino.

The ex-Torino centre-back is under contract with Juventus until 2029 and Bremer has made 96 appearances for the Old Lady, as well as lifted a Coppa Italia trophy.

Despite reportedly being admired by Juni Calafat, Defensa Central has claimed that the ‘problem’ that Madrid face with Bremer is over his release clause at Juventus.

What is Real Madrid-linked Gleison Bremer’s release clause and where do Man Utd stand on the Juventus star?

According to reports in Spain, Gleison Bremer’s current release clause at Juventus is set at €60m and Madrid ‘won’t pay that kind of money’ for the Brazil international.

Defensa Central has now suggested that there have been clubs in England that have been ‘willing to put up’ the release clause fee and effectively priced Madrid out.

The Spanish outlet added that United are one of the Premier League teams that are monitoring the situation around Bremer, with Juventus keen to keep hold of him.

However, the Red Devils could face a challenge from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, with all five clubs ‘seriously evaluating’ a potential move.

It’s been claimed that Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sanchez and club president Florentino Perez have passed up on signing Bremer and have turned their attention elsewhere.
