On Friday night, Michigan high school football fans were treated to a moment they won’t forget any time soon. In a clash between two of the state’s best programs, No. 8 Rockford hosted No. 4 Hudsonville, and it was Hudsonville wide receiver Lawsyn Weber who stole the show.
Hudsonville Lawsyn Weber one-handed catch
Late in the fourth quarter, with Hudsonville already holding momentum, quarterback Brady Van Laecke rolled out to his left and heaved a pass from the 40-yard line toward the end zone. What happened next looked straight out of a highlight reel. Weber elevated over defenders, stretched out his left arm, and hauled in a jaw-dropping one-handed touchdown catch, somehow landing in bounds by a hair!

The play gave Hudsonville a two-touchdown cushion with just over five minutes remaining, effectively sealing the victory and cementing Weber’s catch as one of the best you’ll see at any level of football.
High school football always delivers its fair share of big plays, but Weber’s grab wasn’t just great, it was unforgettable.
