Recently cut player opens up on Packers stint before ending up on a worse team

After spending just a week on the Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster, rookie offensive tackle Brant Banks was waived by the team following Week 4’s tie with the Dallas Cowboys on the road.

While some may have thought he could reunite with the Packers, at least with the practice squad, that’s not going to happen anytime soon. Banks has since been claimed off waivers and signed by the Tennessee Titans.

The 25-year-old Banks went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, but was inked to a deal by Green Bay. He was with the Packers during training camp and appeared in just six snaps with the special teams in the 2025 NFL regular season before parting ways with the team.

Although his time with the Packers was a short one, Banks appears to have good memories of his Green Bay tenure.

“Yeah, yes, I was there [with Green Bay]. I’ve been in the whole time until today,” Banks said (h/t Jim Wyatt of the Titans’ official website).

“I think they developed me. Well, a bunch of great coaches. I only have good things to say about Green Bay. I enjoyed my time there. Had a great time, learned a lot. And then when I got put on waivers, I’m here and got a great o-line coach and hopefully learn a lot more.”

The 25-year-old Banks can make his debut with the winless Titans as soon as this coming Sunday, when the 0-4 Tennessee plays the Arizona Cardinals on the road.

Green Bay offensive tackle Brant Banks (72) is shown during the fourth quarter of their preseason game Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Green Bay Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks 20-7.
