Former Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has suggested the Friedkins may have made a big mistake in the summer.
The Friedkin Group have now been on Merseyside for nearly a full year and Everton look to be going from strength to strength.
It has been a solid start to the season for David Moyes, but the Scot will have hoped for more victories under his belt.
On Monday night, the Blues were only able to secure a point against a struggling West Ham.
Having watched the game for Sky Sports, Duncan Ferguson urged Everton to find a better striker who they can rely on for goals.
This has been a clear issue for the Toffees in the opening weeks of the season, with just two goals scored in their last four games.

Carlo Ancelotti suggests Everton may have made big summer mistake
Moyes was keen to bring in some new strikers over the summer but he was forced to settle for the addition of Thierno Barry.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
It has not exactly been an electric start to the season in front of goal, with just one goal coming from either Beto or Barry in the opening six league games.
In Ancelotti’s new book, The Dream, the Italian manager recalled his time on Merseyside and some of the better players he inherited.
“The biggest player at Everton was the England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, and there were good strikers in Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin,” he said.
“There was very little break between the end of one season and the start of the next and I used it to recruit two former players: Allan, the Brazilian who played as a defensive midfielder at Napoli, and James Rodríguez from Real Madrid. Abdoulaye Doucoure joined from Watford.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin departed Everton for Leeds United as a free agent over the summer.
Everton made an attempt to keep Calvert-Lewin, but a new deal could not be agreed between the two parties.
With Everton struggling for goals, Ancelotti’s praise of Calvert-Lewin could well suggest a mistake was made over the summer.

The striker did not play in the opening game of the season against his former side, but he has since come into the fold at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke has been really impressed with Calvert-Lewin, who has been able to find the back of the net once in the Premier League.
That single goal equals Beto’s record, but Calvert-Lewin has done so in less appearances and minutes.

There will be Everton fans who fully back not going all out to keep Calvert-Lewin in the summer, and there will be some who disagree.
But one thing that is clear is that Everton need more firepower in the January transfer market.
And it is believed that Everton are already considering signing another striker in the coming months.
