'Tuchel wants...': Troy Deeney thinks he knows exactly why Tuchel snubbed Everton's Jack…

Everton forward Jack Grealish has been snubbed by Thomas Tuchel in the latest England squad, and Troy Deeney thinks he knows why.

It has been an impressive start to the season for Grealish since he made the move away from Manchester City on loan.

David Moyes was delighted to see Everton sign Grealish in what was a big statement from The Friedkin Group.

The 62-year-old is not the only one, with Tuchel praising Grealish’s recent form in an Everton shirt.

Despite this, the German has refused to select the 30-year-old forward in either of his England squads this season.

Deeney has enjoyed watching Grealish play for Everton, but he does think he knows why he has not been selected by Tuchel.

Troy Deeney shares why Jack Grealish hasn’t been selected for England

Even on Monday night, Grealish really impressed against West Ham, but it was not enough to tempt Tuchel.

This means that Grealish will have time to rest up as he will not be in action for weeks after Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace.

Grealish will not be able to play against Manchester City after the break, and Deeney thinks some of his exploits at his parent club may have cost him.

“I think Jack would have to be exceptional for a long time and have a lot of media noise around him to get back in this squad,” Deeney said on TalkSPORT.

“Not because he’s not playing well. He’s playing very well at Everton, but I do think that Thomas Tuchel wants a good harmonious group and I think he thinks if he adds Jack Grealish to that that will be a little bit different.”

Grealish’s father has urged him to shoot more frequently as he awaits his first goal since signing for the Blues in the summer.

A couple of goals would have certainly helped Grealish’s case, but it seems as if it is what he does off the field that Deeney thinks has gone against him.

Grealish admits he hasn’t helped himself in the past

Having turned 30 years old recently it does seem as if Grealish has turned a corner with his maturity away from the pitch.

Grealish wants to lead Everton to Europe this season to repay the fans for the faith they have shown him.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Grealish admitted that he has not always been the model professional over his career.

‘People go, “he likes to go out, he likes to party”, and I do. I want to be able to live my life and enjoy myself but obviously there’s a time and a place to do that,” said Grealish.

‘Sometimes, I’ll be honest with you, I probably haven’t picked the right times. At City, I didn’t help myself at times, I’ll openly say that, but then I don’t think it was all down to that.’
