Everton youngster Harrison Armstrong is enjoying a strong start to the 2025/26 campaign whilst away on loan at Preston North End.
After spending the summer with David Moyes and the first team, the decision was eventually made to loan out the midfielder.
Preston fans have been so impressed with Armstrong in his opening appearances for the Championship outfit.
Armstrong was keen to make an impression on the Everton starting XI over the summer, but the addition of Merlin Rohl sealed his loan exit.
It has been a positive start to life back in the Championship, with Paul Heckingbottom praising Armstrong’s opening appearances.
And the 18-year-old has now had his efforts recognised as he looks to earn himself a future in the Everton starting XI.

On Friday, Everton star Jack Grealish learned of his England snub by manager Thomas Tuchel for the latest call-up.
It was only Jordan Pickford to receive the call up for the England senior squad ahead of their games against Wales and Latvia.

However, young Armstrong has also received his own call-up to England’s U19s side following his displays in the Championship.
He is not alone, as Everton’s summer signing Tyler Dibling will also be joining up with the England U21s side.
Some inside Everton feel Armstrong could become a real superstar over the coming years on Merseyside.
Playing on the international level will only benefit Armstrong, who will be adding more and more experience as the weeks go by.
What those at Preston are saying about Armstrong
Finding the right loan was crucial for Armstrong given how well he played last season when he joined Derby County.
Armstrong was given the nickname Bruce Wayne at Derby by his teammates for his heroic performances.
This time around, Armstrong will need to show his talent across a full season with Preston, but he has started it on the right foot.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Heckingbottom sang the praises of the 18-year-old midfielder.
“He can get around the pitch, he can cover ground at pace, he can carry the ball well, he is determined to get on the ball, he also competes really well, so defensively he helps the team as well,” he said.
“I think he’s settled in really well now this week, he’s mixing with the players, he’s showing what he’s all about and he’s found his feet now, which is great.”
