Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau are expected to be active for the New Orleans Saints’ game against the New York Giants on Sunday, according to multiple sources.
Hill is expected to serve as the team’s backup quarterback behind Spencer Rattler. Rookie Tyler Shough has served as the backup in the Saints' first four games.
The veteran tight ends have not played this season after starting the year on the Physically Unable to Perform list. They returned to practice on a limited basis this week for the first time since undergoing offseason knee surgeries. Each was listed as questionable on the team’s injury report on Friday.
The Saints will have to make two transactions to clear room for Hill and Moreau on the 53-man active roster.
Hill tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in a Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He ranked second on the team with 278 rushing yards and six touchdowns last season.
Moreau injured his knee late in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2024 season finale. The former Jesuit High School and LSU standout finished the year with 32 catches for 413 yards and five touchdowns.
