Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says ICE will be “all over” Super Bowl 2026, just days after Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny was announced as the halftime performer. Safe to say, the timing raised eyebrows across the league. Political drama now overshadows the biggest game of the year.

Bad Bunny had previously avoided touring the U.S. out of concern his Latino fans could be treated unfairly or face trouble with immigration officers. A month ago, the Puerto Rican musician told i-D magazine he worried about ICE showing up outside his concerts. Now his fears look extremely surreal.
Noem told conservative commentator Benny Johnson on Friday that agents will blanket the venue. Shesaid, “We’ll be all over that place. We are going to enforce the law. You shouldn’t be coming to the Super Bowl unless you are a law-abiding American citizen.”

When asked about the NFL, Noem didn’t hold back either.Noemreplied, “They suck, and we’ll win. They are so weak. We will stand for America. They won’t be able to sleep at night. We’ll fix it.”
Fans immediately questioned her logic in the comments. Oneasked, “So only American citizens are allowed to attend the Super Bowl? Since when? Foreign tourists aren’t? Green card holders aren’t? Legal residents on visas aren’t? I think she is wrong.”
Another got more direct, noting, “You honestly think undocumented immigrants can afford Super Bowl tickets, or you just trying to thump your chest a little to make yourself feel tough?”
A thirdadded, “She knows tourists come to the Super Bowl, right?”
Quite frankly, the ICE is not receiving much support from both social media and the NFL community. According to critics, it’s just a political stunt designed to rally MAGA voters. But the administration doubled down.
Donald Trump Advisor Also Issues Explosive Warning to Bad Bunny’s Latino Fans
Before Noem opened her mouth, Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump’s adviser, previewed it to Johnson. He also made it crystal clear that ICE would be all over Super Bowl 60.
Hesaid, “There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else.”

Then he dropped the explosive threat, stating, “We will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that that is a very real situation under this administration, which is completely contrary to how it used to be.”
The 31-year-old is already infamousas a massive Trump hater and anti-ICE activist. He is mostly getting the backlash from MAGA circlesafter his selection for the Hatime show. Conservative influencers considered his selection a “middle finger to MAGA.”
Even with all the drama, Super Bowl LX still kicks off February 8, 2026, in Santa Clara. But the game now carries political weight nobody asked for.
