Why the Broncos aren’t fearing the Philadelphia Eagles’ “Tush Push”

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Tush Push is a nearly-unstoppable play. But the Denver Broncos aren’t backing down from it, welcoming the challenge … and as edge rusher Jonathon Cooper says, other factors in Sunday’s big Week 5 game are going to be more important, anyway.

“I mean, the football game ain’t the tush push,” Cooper said. “The game is the zones and the play-action, the passes and stopping to run and getting after the passer and stuff.

“So if I see a tush push, I mean, it’s whatever.

“… You got somebody pushing behind you. You got a solid O-line pushing in front of you. I mean, I could get back there and get you a yard every time. And then what? I’ll be famous off of the tush push, like. No, I’m good.”

So, the Broncos have no fear. No mythologizing of the play.

Andrew Mason has more on how the Broncos are getting ready for the Eagles and this signature aspect of their recent imperial phase.
