Former Malian international Mahamadou N’Diaye has now revealed that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keeping close tabs on Mahamadou Sangare.
Mahamadou Sangare joined Manchester City from PSG during the summer transfer window, and he is highly rated within the club. It will be interesting to see if the teenage sensation can impress the Manchester City manager with his performances at the youth level and break into the first team scene.
Sangare is a player with great potential, and he could establish himself as an important team player for Manchester City in future. Guardiola has previously demonstrated that he is willing to offer opportunities to young players if they are good enough. The 18-year-old will certainly look to prove his quality to the manager.
“It’s true that he’s racking up the stats with the youth teams, but it’s too early for him to break into Manchester City’s first team, despite his great potential,” N’Diaye said to Africa Foot.
“But I’m sure they’ll do it gradually. He’s a young player who still needs to take further steps before permanently joining Manchester City’s performance squad. “I know Pep Guardiola is watching him and will release him at the right time. He can establish himself at City, but we need to give him time to adapt and grow.”
Sangare is an elite talent
PSG will be disappointed to have lost a quality young talent like Mahamadou Sangare. It will be interesting to see if Manchester City can nurture the African prodigy into a future star. They have done well to groom young players in recent seasons. It is clear that they are looking to build a team for the future, and signing the best young players around is a step in the right direction.
The move to Manchester City will be quite exciting for the player as well. He will look to showcase qualities at the youth level with them and establish himself as a first-team player. It remains to be seen whether Manchester City are prepared to give him first-team opportunities in the cup games this season.
The report claims that Liverpool and Barcelona have been keeping tabs on the player’s progress as well, since before he joined Manchester City. Sangare is an elite talent, and Manchester City must groom him properly. It would not be a surprise if top teams decide to make a move for him in future, but they will be monitoring his progress for now.
