Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was arrested Saturday on assault and public intoxication charges after he was stabbed in the chest during a brawl with a food delivery driver in Indianapolis early Saturday, according to reports and authorities.

Sanchez was charged with battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication, in connection with the brawl near Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery in downtown Indianapolis, cops said.

The unidentified delivery driver who allegedly stabbed Sanchez claimed he was acting in self-defence and that Sanchez was the aggressor, FOX59/CBS4 reported, citing police sources.

The man told cops he was making a food delivery when Sanchez told him to leave and that he couldn’t park in an alley.

Sanchez became aggressive and used pepper spray, the person claimed.

Sanchez, 38, a Fox Sports analyst who was in the city to broadcast the Colts’ game against the Raiders on Sunday, was in stable condition after being rushed to a local hospital, the network said in a statement.

Sanchez wasn’t cooperative with responding police officers, sources told FOX59/CBS4.
