The North Carolina Tar Heels were one of the most hyped programs in all of college football before the start of the season. When your head coach is the greatest NFL coach of all time, that hype tends to be legit.
However, Tar Heels fans are not getting what they anticipated. Belichick lost his first game in Chapel Hill in convincing fashion to the TCU Horned Frogs. In Week 6, the team suffered their third loss of the season, in a game that had fans hitting the exit before it was even over.

Belichick’s squad lost to the Clemson Tigers 38-10 on Saturday. With 13 minutes left in the game, a photo of the stadium looked like a place where no game was being played.
The pressure was going to be insane for Belichick at the college level. Many are of the belief that if you can dominate in the NFL, then you should be able to be king of college football.
It’s very rare to turn a program around in one season. However, in this world of needing success immediately, patience is thin for fans who want quick success from Belichick.

Throwing in the towel at this point seems premature. But if the Tar Heels don’t turn the ship around soon, the future Pro Football Hall of Fame coach leading the charge may find retirement more enjoyable.
