Good morning, Cleveland Browns fans! It's finally gameday, and we get a chance to see if the Browns can secure another win today as they navigate the Season-Opening Six-Game Gauntlet set up by the NFL for them.
Before the season, I said I'd be happy if they won two games against Cincy, Baltimore, Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota and Pittsburgh. I still would be, and it would be nice to get that second win today and exceed expectations next week in Yinzerland.
THE DAILY BLOVIATION
It's just shy of 7AM, and I'm going to put out this Daily Newswire - this Massive Morning Missive filled with goodies - even though I fully realize that it's going to be rendered totally obsolete in two hours.
The most helpful thing I can do with this bloviation, given its short shelf life, is assist with online logistics for the OBR. So, here you go:
The official Cooler Browns-Vikings game thread can be found here.
The less-official but somewhat calmer VIP thread with the OBR team can be found here.
The Post-Game show will appear shortly after the game ends on YouTube and Twitch.
Coffee
Coffee is good. (Photo: Unsplash.com)
It's probably best that I keep this brief today. I'm on some medication which basically renders me more useless than usual, which kicked in last night, so I need to reserve my energies for the game.
My pharmaceutical funk is so bad that I'm tempted to write about a variety of gripes regarding the state of the sports media and the sleazy stuff I deal with every day. But today is game day, and I'm going to try to keep a positive outlook and absorb some coffee to get me ready for a 9:30AM kickoff. I suggest you try to do the same.
Let's go, Dillon Gabriel. Let's go, Myles Garrett and that outstanding defense. Let's go, Browns.
Breakfast and Browns. Let's do this.
Have a good one! GO BROWNS!

Stray Dog Saved From ‘Death Row’ Turns into Brilliant Detective, Sniffing out Lost Animals - (goodnewsnetwork.org)
There's a lot of love and skill trapped in cages around the country, seemingly unwanted, as sometimes problematic puppies look for forever homes. An example of the latter can be found in England, where a Kokoni from Portugal was rescued by a kind-hearted woman and turned out to be an expert sniffer capable of finding lost pets.
Our last two dogs have been rescues and absolute delights, albeit with some habits and leftovers from their previous lives. But that makes them more special, in my eyes. I think shelters should be where dog searches start for prospective pet owners.
