Cleveland Browns Jack Conklin Returns after Missing Three Games; Greg Newsome Active; Cornelius …

The Cleveland Browns did not have any major surprises on the inactive list for Sunday's game with the Vikings. Defensive tackle Michael Hall was inactive for the fifth-straight game as he recovers from a knee injury suffered last season.

The biggest news was that starting right tackle Jack Conklin finally returned to the lineup after missing the last three games with an elbow injury. Also, newly acquired offensive tackle Cam Robinson was active and expected to play. Robinson was acquired from the Texans last Monday.

The Browns listed KT Leveston as the starter at 'T' but did not say which side he would start on, presumably on the left side.

Starting cornerback Greg Newsome appeared on the injury report on Thursday with a hamstring injury and was questionable for the game. The Browns lack veteran depth at corenrback and brought up two cornerbacks from the practice squad.

In addition to Hall, quarterback Shedeur Sanders is the third quarterback. Running back Raheim Sanders, offensive tackles Cornelius Lucas, Thayer Munford, safety Damontae Kazee and guard Zak Zinter.

Lucas had replaced Conklin in the first four games.

Wide receivers Malachi Corley (#83) and Gage Larvadain (#84) are active after being signed from the practice squad

The Browns elevated the same two players from the practice squad that they did the previous week against the Lions in cornerbacks Tre Avery and Dom Jones.

Avery is in his fourth season out of Rutgers and signed with the team earlier this year. He has previously played with the Titans and 49ers. He made two tackles against the Lions and was part of the punt return team that arguably overpursued the returner, allowing a touchdown by Detroit.

Jones is a rookie who was signed to the Browns as an undrafted free agent. He has appeared in limited action, playing ten snaps apiece on defense and special teams.
