Official: Barcelona starting XI against Sevilla | La Liga

FC Barcelona are set to kick off their game against Sevilla soon. Away from home this time around, the Catalan giants will be looking for all three points but they know that it will not be an easy match to win.

Moreover, injuries to the likes of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha greatly limit Hansi Flick’s options in attack, while other injuries are similarly impactful as well for other positions. Still, the German coach has managed to field a strong starting eleven here.

Here is the official Barcelona starting line-up for this clash.

In goal, Wojciech Szczesny starts for the Catalan giants in the absence of Joan Garcia. He had a decent enough outing against Paris Saint-Germain but he definitely needs to improve as well.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo start as the two centre-backs for Barça. Both of them will need to ensure that Sevilla are as restricted as possible and do not get the chance to attack Szczesny’s goal.

On their flanks, Gerard Martin and Jules Kounde start for La Blaugrana. Both players will need to improve following their frustrating performance against PSG, and this is a good opportunity to do that.

In midfield, the trusted duo of Pedri and Frenkie de Jong starts together. They will need to dictate the tempo of this game and make sure that their intensity does not go away at any point during the game.

Ahead of them, Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford occupy the two wings. In between them, Dani Olmo starts and he will be looking to have a positive impact this time around.

Finally, up top, Robert Lewandowski starts for Barça and he will be looking to convert his chances. Flick’s team needs to get back to winning ways, and he is now trusting these players to ensure that happens.
