Stats Show How Impressive Jordan Love Has Been Against The Blitz

The Green Bay Packers entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations.

That’s why it’s somewhat disappointing to see them sitting on a 2-1-1 record after four weeks.

Those who haven’t watched the team play might be quick to point the finger at Jordan Love.

The young quarterback has often been a talking point, and some doubt whether he can be the player this team needs to get the job done.

However, both the eye test and the numbers show that he’s not the problem.

If anything, he’s been spectacular this season.

To prove that, Packers insider Felipe Reis Aceti took to X to show just how good Love has been against the blitz so far.

Through four weeks, the former first-round pick ranks 1st in total EPA, passing EPA, ADOT, and passing grade.

He ranks third in passing yards and fourth in EPA per play, success rate, and yards per attempt.

Jordan Love against the blitz this season:

1st in total EPA

1st in passing EPA

1st in ADOT

1st in passing grade

3rd in passing yards

4th in EPA/play

4th in success rate

4th in YPA

Love is doing a much better job of reading coverage, and he’s tearing defenses apart when they try to collapse the pocket and blitz.

The fact that he’s doing that behind a decimated and struggling offensive line and without two of his top receivers (Christian Watson and Jayden Reed) only makes this much more impressive.

Love hasn’t always played the most efficient brand of football, and his tendency to put the ball in harm’s way has clearly been a concern.

Still, the fans need to give credit where it’s due, and he’s been one of the best signal-callers in the game this season.
