After a tame opening 25 minutes, in which City dominated possession but couldn’t quite break down an organised Reading outfit, Ben Wilkinson’s side finally found the lead through Mahamadou Sangare.
The in-form number nine slotted home after Divine Mukasa played Emilio Lawrence in behind the visiting back line. The latter managed to beat the outrushing ‘keeper, Harrison Rhone, to tee up Sangare for his first league goal since signing for City in the summer.

Sangare bagged his fifth in two games in all competitions just before the hour mark. The ball bounced kindly off his legs and into the back of the Reading net after Rhone attempted to clear Divine Mukasa’s low cross from the right.
Mukasa then made it three shortly after. The England youth international also got off the mark in the PL2, placing a clinical effort into the bottom right corner to complete a well-deserved win.
