Jack Grealish pinpoints the moment that 'completely changed the game' for Everton vs Crystal…

Everton defeated high-flying Crystal Palace 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

David Moyes’ side went behind at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after a horror start and some supporters even booed at half-time.

Everton didn’t make the best start to the second half either, but the crowd urged them forward and eventually levelled 15 minutes from time through Iliman Ndiaye.

Jack Grealish then scored a stoppage-time winner to complete the comeback and move the Toffees up to seventh place heading into the international break.

Speaking post-match, Grealish explained what Moyes did to completely change the game.

Jack Grealish shares what changed the game for Everton vs Crystal Palace

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Grealish admitted it was Everton’s worst performance of the season but said David Moyes made one tweak that changed everything.

“We started the game so bad,” the 30-year-old explained. “It was kick-off, it was just little stuff, we lose the first header then conceded a throw and then a corner and then another corner.

“We started it bad and the first half was terrible. I think the lads would say the same, it’s easily the worst we’ve played this season.

“We’ve come in, had a word with each other, regrouped, I think the two subs that came on completely changed the game for us, a different way of playing, lots of runs in behind and stuff like this.

“The second half we were brilliant. It’s so hard to play against this team, they’re so difficult to play against, so many games unbeaten, so a good win.”

Carlos Alcaraz stakes claim to David Moyes

Carlos Alcaraz was excellent when he came off the bench and staked a real claim to Moyes, who hasn’t used him much this season.

Alcaraz, who has started just one Premier League game this season, brought real energy to the team and actually could have had an assist, as evinced by his one key pass, according to Sofascore.

Beto also enjoyed a productive cameo, and his threatening pace in behind forced Palace’s defence to drop deeper.
