The Seattle Seahawks aren’t getting enough credit for what they’re doing this season.
And even when they do, they talk mostly about Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Granted, they’ve done an outstanding job on offense this season, and they deserve all the praise they can get.
Nevertheless, the Seahawks’ defense has gone unnoticed.
Even so, after four weeks, they have yet to give up their first rushing touchdown.

That’s a strong testament to Mike Macdonald and his defensive expertise, and the Baltimore Ravens could certainly use their former defensive coordinator to fix their season-long woes right now.
Macdonald has established a strong defensive identity in Seattle from the very second he arrived there, and while they don’t get nearly as much buzz as the legendary Legion of Boom, they’re pretty tough to score against.
The Seahawks don’t get as much attention as other teams in the division, but even if the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams may have more talent right now, the Seahawks are also playing a great brand of football.
And while this stat might not be sustainable for much longer, and it’s just a matter of time before someone puts up a rushing touchdown or two against them, they will continue to be a tough team to run the football against.
Their next challenge will come in what might be a high-scoring affair with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and with Bucky Irving out, Todd Bowles’ team will have to put the ball in the air early and often.
