Insider Reveals ‘Big Challenge’ For Jets’ Defense In Week 5

For years now, the New York Jets have struggled to get much going on offense.

Now, with Justin Fields at the helm, they’ve had a couple of strong offensive outings.

Unfortunately, their usually solid defense hasn’t been up to the task this season.

With that in mind, team insider Rich Cimini urged Aaron Glenn’s team to do better on Sunday, as they’re on the verge of making infamous history:

“Big challenge for Jets’ underperforming D. Jets have allowed 25+ points in every game (only team to do so). One more + they will be tied for the longest streak of allowing 25+ points in a game in a season in franchise history (most recently done in 2024),” Cimini posted on X.

It’s odd to see that this team, which features solid defensive personnel and has a defensive-minded head coach, has struggled so much to get stops this season.

Granted, they’ve gone against some very good teams, but still, they’ve struggled to set the tone or gain any sort of momentum.

To add insult to injury, they’re going to go against the No. 1 offense in the league.

The Dallas Cowboys’ defense can’t get a stop to save their lives, but they can certainly put up points on the scoreboard.

Even without starting offensive guard Trevor Booker and without star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott has put up one of the strongest starts of his career.

Of course, one might not tell by his team’s 1-2-1 record, but he’s been very good.

Sauce Gardner will have his hands full with George Pickens, who’s coming off his best game as a Cowboy – and his best game in a long time – and head coach Brian Schottenheimer has also made a name for himself for his offensive design and play-calling in his first year as the main guy.
