Everton head into the October international break with three points after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
For most of the game, it looked as though Everton’s unbeaten run at the new stadium was about to end, but they came back from a goal down to win in stoppage time.
David Moyes was able to change the game by bringing on Carlos Alcaraz and Beto at the half-time interval.
The two substitutes brought energy and more dynamism, which was perhaps lacking in Thierno Barry and Tyler Dibling.
After the game, Everton’s official social media account sent a strong message to the England manager Thomas Tuchel.

Everton’s X account sends message to Thomas Tuchel
Jack Grealish has been in sensational form since joining Everton from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
So it was a little surprising to see his name left out of Tuchel’s England squad for the October international break.
After Grealish’s stoppage-time winner, which took his tally to five goal involvements already this season, Everton’s official X account directed fans to their bio, where they had left a message for the Three Lions boss.

The club’s bio simply read: “Grealish for England.”
Jack Grealish deserves to be in England squad
Grealish won his third Man of the Match award of the season against Crystal Palace but quite modestly admitted it should’ve gone to Adam Wharton.

No English player in the Premier League has been involved in more goals than the Everton wide player, so quite clearly, he deserves to be in Tuchel’s squad.
Speaking earlier this week, Tuchel said that Grealish is almost back to his best but will have to accept his decision for now.
“Jack knows that I see how influential he is for Everton and is on the way to being the best version of himself.
“So, they have to accept it and nothing changes this decision against them or for the other players. It does not change my appreciation for their talent and personality.”
