Everton came from behind to beat Crystal Palace at Hill Dickinson Stadium and end their long unbeaten run.
Murmurings of discontent could be heard at half-time as Everton trailed 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace.
Daniel Munoz’s goal left the Toffees trailing as summer signing Thierno Barry struggled to make an impact.
Everton improved after the break and equalised from Iliman Ndiaye’s penalty after Tim Iroegbunam had been felled.
Everton really seized momentum and found a winner, with Munoz’s clearance ricocheting off Jack Grealish and finding the back of the net, sending Toffees fans wild.

Jack Grealish shares David Moyes message in Everton win
Everton were flat in the first half and really needed a second-half response.
Moyes hooked Barry and Tyler Dibling at half-time, and Everton were much better after the break.
Grealish’s winner was perhaps a little fortuitous, but they all count – and that sees the City loanee open his Everton account.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Speaking to Sky Sports (05/10, 4:15pm), Grealish admitted that some half-time intervention from Moyes helped him grab the winner.
Grealish admitted that Moyes told him to attack the back post more in the second half, seemingly believing that a goal was there for the taking.
Moyes can’t have imagined that Munoz would smash the ball against Grealish for the winning goal, but the Everton ace was in the right place at the right time.
Grealish now wants to score more goals, but thanked Moyes for the half-time nudge.
“I had two proper shots, I don’t know if you can count the goal as a shot, I’m not sure, but yeah, I want to try and get into them positions more, and the manager actually said it to me at half time,” said Grealish.
“He said ‘try and get in at the back post’, and I was there and the goal comes from that, so I have the manager to thank for that,” he added.

Jack Grealish reacts to Player of the Match award
Grealish was given the Sky Sports Player of the Match award as he had the telling touch – even if he didn’t know all that much about it.
The Manchester City loanee has now picked up three Player of the Match awards from Sky Sports this season, though he doesn’t actually think he deserved his latest one.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Grealish suggested that Palace midfielder Adam Wharton actually deserved the award as he was the ‘best player on the pitch’.
“It was difficult against such a good team; they have unbelievable players,” said Grealish.
“I think Adam Wharton today… I can see the Man of the Match award there, I think that’s coming to me, but I think it should have gone to Adam Wharton, because, in my opinion, he was the best player on the pitch today,” he added.
Grealish will take his goal and the Player of the Match award, and will certainly hope that there are more of both to come.
