Xavi gives instructions to representatives amid Manchester United links

Xavi could entering the world of football management, and this would not be the first time that the former Barcelona player would be entering management with the now 45-year-old managing at a senior level before.

The first example of this came at Al Sadd following his retirement in 2019.

During his time with the Qatari outfit, the former Spanish international won seven trophies including the Qatar Cup.

Following his successful spell with Sadd, the former professional footballer would move to Barcelona marking his return to Spain.

In his time with the LaLiga giants, the Barcelona legend managed 142 games, winning 89 of these and losing just 29 games.

However, in May of last year, the 45-year-old was relived of his duty and would go onto to be replaced by Hansi Flick.

Since his departure from Barcelona, he has been jobless.

But, at the ending stages of July, it was revealed by Fabrizio Romano that Xavi had been studying the Premier League and would join Manchester United, even without European football.

Furthermore, the former professional rejected a role in the Middle East.

Now, a new update has emerged with the 45-year-old handing instructions to his representatives.

According to Caught Offside, Xavi has instructed his representatives to reject offers from Saudi Pro League clubs.

With this news revealed, a move to Manchester United could become more likely should the Red Devils hierarchy decide to sack Ruben Amorim.

Furthermore, attention may turn towards Saudi Pro League sides to see if they attempt to acquire Xavi’s services.

As well as this, attention could also turn towards Old Trafford to see if Ruben Amorim can continue to push himself towards success with his side following the international break.

If he can, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS may choose to keep Amorim in charge.
