Titans Topple Cardinals On Final Play In Another Dramatic Finish

**THE STORY**: The Cardinals kept their streak of tight games this season a perfect 5-for-5 on Sunday.

It didn't feel like it was going to be that way, and it wasn't playing out that way most of the game. The Cardinals ended up with a 22-21 loss at State Farm Stadium to the struggling Tennessee Titans, a odd ending to one that started as if it wouldn't be that close.

Titans kicker Joey Slye booted a 29-yard field goal on the game's final play. It was the Cardinals' third straight game that ended with the opposition kicking a game-winning field goal on the last snap.

The Cardinals (3-2) have had the game come down to the final possession in each of their five games.

The Cardinals had a 21-6 lead in the fourth quarter when running back Emari Demercado broke off what looked like a 72-yard touchdown run to essentially seal the game. But replays showed that Demercado dropped the ball forward right before he crossed the goal line, and it rolled through the back of the end zone.

The Titans (1-4) drove for one score to pull within 21-12 and then on their next possession scored the nuttiest TD of the NFL season. Cardinals safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson made an impressive interception on a tipped pass to kill the drive -- but fell without being touched and fumbled. In the ensuing scramble for the ball, Titans receiver Tyler Lockett recovered the ball in the end zone for six points and made it a two-point game.

After the Cardinals had to punt at the 2-minute warning, rookie QB Cam Ward hit Calvin Ridley for a 38-yard pass on the last possession to put the Titans in field-goal range.
