And Brown, as is his custom, was about the work in his post-game messaging.
As much as they celebrated, he went right back to the details they need to polish, as they prepare for the Cowboys here in seven days.
"A game like this is one of those games that we need to go ahead and take it, enjoy it today, and then we're going back to work," Brown said. "We're fighters. I've been saying this since the beginning. Everybody else is seeing it now, so I mean, it's been like that. Last week, especially challenging guys coming off of a bad game last week up in New England, and they beat us down, so we'll be able to come out here and get a win like this today. We've still got a lot of things we need to clean up, but that's what we look forward to.
"Being able to take practice to the game, and so for us to be able to go out there and do that, I mean that's it. We've got to clean up a lot of areas, but I mean, that's what the challenge is, right? If we were perfect, then we'd be 17-0, but that ain't the case."
It might not have been perfect, but considering where they were as a rush defense not that long ago, it was closer than it's been in years.
