Let’s face it: Michigan owns Ohio!
The Detroit Lions walked into Paycor Stadium on Sunday and laid a beating on the Cincinnati Bengals, winning 37-24 to improve to 4-1 on the season. It was a statement win for Dan Campbell’s squad, who continue to look like one of the most complete teams in the NFL.
But that wasn’t the only victory over Ohio this week. The Lions’ social media team made sure everyone noticed that Michigan’s teams have absolutely owned the Buckeye State lately.
The Lions’ social media post summed it up perfectly: “Ohio hate to see us coming.”
There’s something poetic about this stretch. Michigan teams are showing up and showing out, while Ohio just can’t seem to catch a break. Between Aidan Hutchinson terrorizing quarterbacks, Amon-Ra St. Brown finding the end zone again, and Jared Goff leading another efficient offensive performance, this Detroit team looks every bit like the Super Bowl contender they were hyped to be.
At this rate, it’s fair to say Michigan sports own Ohio right now.
