Flutter Entertainment says the recent NFL match hosted in Dublin, Ireland, became Paddy Power’s highest-ever regular-season game for active customers and betting volume across the UK and Ireland.

The clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Viking at Croke Park on September 28 came a few weeks after Paddy Power was announced as the NFL’s official sportsbook partner in the UK and Ireland.
The partnership gives the Flutter gambling brand rights for activations across retail and online betting, as well as promotional opportunities via the NFL’s digital channels and live game experiences.
“Last season, we had just shy of half a million customers active on the NFL,” Andy Branigan, commercial sports director for Paddy Power, said in a Flutter blog post.
“This year we’re aiming for over 600,000. We see this as a stepping stone toward even more ambitious targets to grow the sport amongst our customers.”
Flutter added that over 180,000 people have played Paddy Power’s free-to-play NFL Showdown game since its launch as part of the sportsbook’s partnership with the competition.
“The NFL is a huge organisation and Flutter can really add value to it when we bring skills and capabilities from across our brands,” said Flutter’s chief operating officer Phil Bishop.
