Commanders Jayden Daniels Has Bold Response to Injury Concerns

After missing the last two games due to a knee injury, fans of the Washington Commanders were curious to see whether star quarterback Jayden Daniels would be limited in any capacity in his return to the field on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. But according to Daniels, his play on the field showed that he is fully healthy and ready to lead the Commanders for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Daniels didn’t miss a beat in his return to action for the Commanders, throwing for 231 yards while adding in 39 rushing yards on the ground. More importantly, Daniels was able to play mistake-free football en route to a 27-10 victory over the Chargers to help get the Commanders’ season back on track.

It certainly didn’t look like Daniels was hampered in any way with his lingering knee issue. After the game when asked about whether the knee issue is still a concern, Daniels opted to let his play do the talking when it came to whether he was fully healthy or not.

“I mean, y’all tell me,” said Daniels when asked how his knee felt. “How did the knee look?”

Some may see this as a bit of an arrogant response to a question every Commanders fan had on their mind leading into the game. But Daniels has shown to be a player who feeds off of confidence. So it is certainly a great sign that he seems to have that confidence back now that his injury woes are behind him.

Beating a team like the Chargers, who have appeared to be emerging contenders in the AFC, is undoubtedly a big statement that the Commanders plan to pick up right where they left off in Daniels’ rookie season, where the organization was able to reach the NFC Championship Game for the first time in over 30 years.

Fortunately for Commanders fans, Daniels will get even more time to fully recover from his knee injury even if there was any lasting effects for him, as they will take on the Chicago Bears in a Week 6 Monday Night Football matchup.
