Iliman Ndiaye’s goal contribution helped fire Everton past Crystal Palace with a 2-1 victory at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool on Sunday.
Crystal Palace netted first through Daniel Muñoz in the 37th minute but Ndiaye converted from the penalty spot in the 76th minute to pull the Toffees level.
Everton grabbed a winner in the dying moments, as Jack Grealish scored his first goal for his new club in the third minute of stoppage time.
The Toffees sit eighth on the Premier League standings, having collected 11 points from their seven games so far.
Ndiaye has now scored three goals and provided one assist for his club in seven Premier League games this season.
The Senegalese international featured in his nation’s two FIFA World Cup qualifying wins against Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in September and is expected to be in action in their upcoming games against South Sudan and Mauritania on 10 October and 14 October respectively.
The Lions of Teranga are on top of group B, two points ahead of the DRC with two games remaining to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup.
