Jets Running Back Breece Hall Hints at Requesting Trade

New York Jets running back Breece Hall made it very clear on Sunday that he is unhappy with the organization.

Hall’s response was direct, and he didn’t hold back when hinting at his desire to be traded after losing to the Dallas Cowboys.

“I’m in my fourth year and I don’t have a lot of time left to prove what I want to do and who I can be in this league,” Hall told SNY in his postgame press conference.

This statement from Hall shows he understands how quickly running backs are phased out of offenses in today’s NFL, but it also shows he’s running out of patience for the Jets to build a winning team.

So far this season, Hall is averaging 5.3 yards per carry and averaging 70.2 yards per game. His yards per carry is currently the second-highest in his career and just a half-yard shy of his personal best from his rookie season in 2022. His 70.2 yards per game is the best of his career.

New York is the only winless team remaining this season, and Aaron Glenn knows he has to turn it around sooner rather than later. However, it’s all but confirmed the Jets aren’t making the playoffs this season, which leaves the door open to Hall being pursued by contenders at the trade deadline.

Hall is expected to become a free agent at the end of this season, so it’s only a matter of when his time with the Jets comes to an end.
