The Arizona Cardinals were dominating the game against the Tennessee Titans all game long. When the Cardinals had a 21-6 lead in the fourth quarter against the Titans, running back Emari Demercado would have scored a 76-yard touchdown run, but he fumbled before he reached the goal line.

After that sequence occurred, Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon was not happy with the running back and had some words for him on the sideline. This sequence led to the Titans rallying to win the game over the Cardinals by a final score of 22-21. With the win for Tennessee, they improve to 1-4 on the season and Arizona is 2-3 on the season.

A lot of NFL fans had interesting reactions to what Gannon said to Demercado on the sidelines and there was a video. The Cardinals head coach was furious with him. This is what some fans said about Arizona’s head coach being mad at Demercado:
This is a bad coach, the game came down to just that fumble you should have scored more or played better defense.

It’s an inexcusable mistake that for some reason continues to happen in football. The player should be embarrassed. Why is it so hard to hold the ball until you’re clearly in the end zone instead of trying to time it at the goal line?

Had he scored a touchdown in that situation instead of fumbling, there is no way that Arizona would have lost that game against Tennessee. Well, the reverse happened. The Titans next week will play against the Las Vegas Raiders on the road. The Cardinals will face the Indianapolis Colts on the road next week. It will be interesting to see if Demercado will even be on Arizona’s roster for the next game or not.
