Ruben Amorim could receive another major boost in the aftermath of the October international break after two injured Manchester United players could make their return for his side.
The 40-year-old Manchester United manager saw his side return to winning ways ahead of the start of the October break after the 2-0 result at Old Trafford.
United were in action against Sunderland at home and the Red Devils comfortably took a 2-0 lead over the Black Cats in the first half of the Premier League clash.
The Red Devils maintained their advantage over Regis Le Bris’ men going into the second half and United sealed all three Premier League points on Saturday afternoon.
Ruben Amorim’s men have climbed to 10th place in the Premier League table after United’s 2-0 win over Sunderland and now face a tough test post-international break.

Ruben Amorim said ahead of United’s Premier League clash with Brentford that Noussair Mazraoui would be out until after the end of the October international break.
According to The London Standard, Mazraoui is likely to return for United in time for the Red Devils’ visit to Anfield for their Premier League clash against Liverpool.
However, the newspaper reports that the 27-year-old Morocco international might be ‘ready for the trip to Anfield,’ but Mazraoui might not immediately start.

Lisandro Martinez is edging closer to a Man Utd return amid the injury update on Noussair Mazraoui
Lisandro Martinez has been a long-term absentee from United first-team action after the Red Devils defender suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in February.
The 27-year-old World Cup winner missed the second half of the 2024-25 Premier League season due to injury and has been undergoing his rehabilitation at United.
The London Standard claims that it ‘did hear’ that Lisandro Martinez had ‘recently returned to team training’ amid the centre-back’s race to return to full fitness.
The news outlet added that it remains unclear when Martinez will exactly return for United, but it added that it ‘seems feasible’ that it could come before the end of 2025.
Amorim talked up Martinez’s importance to the United squad only last month and the former Ajax star has been a key first-team player for the Red Devils head coach
